Got Sketch 107

Got Sketch 107 is well and truly gone... in fact Valerie is already half way through her next online class Got Sketch Express 3. In case you've never taken any of Valerie's classes, you should really consider it if you have a desire to get some layouts done. Got Sketch 107 was an eight week long class, with one sketch a week, but GSE3 is half the time and gives you eight sketches plus two extended ones. For GS107 I wasn't able to do all the sketches as we were on holiday during the Easter break. Out of the eight sketches I made six layouts and three cards. Ready for lots of pictures? Here we go...

It's not too late to join in with GSE3 if you would like to have ten more opportunities to create a layout (or card). See you there!

5 Year Anniversary Got Sketch

This week Got Sketch is celebrating it's 5th birthday. Reason enough to celebrate don't you think. Hop on over to Got Sketch's blog and see how you can win a fabulous prize package from Basic Grey's new PB&J collection. You've got until May 13th to submit your work.

Here's what I created using the sketch...using the new Pretty Party collection from Crate Paper. I put it on my wish list, but almost didn't purchase it. I'm so glad I did, because I love how this turned out.

I dipped the bingo chip number into Papertrey Ink's Hibiscus ink so it was no longer red.

I cut the title with my Silhouette Digital Cutter using Cider font from Myfonts.com. I also moved the title underneath the pictures, since I felt it was to crowded at the top near the cluster of embellishments.

On the original sketch the the strips are on the left hand side, but I chose to move it to the top right.

I love using pop-up dots for embellishments and journaling tags, to give it extra depth.
