Today is Aden's birthday. He turned 4 today. Congratulations, Aden! Aden goes to the same Kinder as Renee and totally loves being around Renee. The two of them are best buds. This afternoon we went to his impromptu birthday party. I made this card for him:

2007 Xmas Shoot

Kim Archer has her own workshops @ home site, where she offers fun and playful classes. I haven't taken any of them so far. I was very tempted to do the Christmas Extravaganza, but with our trip I thought the timing was wrong. One of her classes was a Christmas LO, which inspired me to scrap my Santa hat pictures of the kids.

Products used: Doodlebug sugar coated cardstock, brads and bling , PPs Scenic Route Roxbury and Savannah (journaling) and chipboard, Autumn Leaves felt, Autumn Leaves Thickers, Heidi Swapp ghost snow flakes, MM button, Sakura Marker, 1" circle punch, Hampton Art Journaling stamp, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, psychedelic embossing powder, VersaMark watermark ink, red ink.

Finally

We've already been home for a week and a half, but with washing to catch-up with, internet problems, no cartridge for my printer and no pictures to use, I had to patient. Today I finally had the opportunity again to create a scrapbook page.

The day before yesterday I dropped off some negatives of some old, old pictures. I took these negatives from my mum, when we were visiting. For this LO I mainly used Cocoa Daisy's November kit. I've got months and months of kits here that I have yet to use, so it felt good to break one in. On top of the kit I've added Tim Holtz grungeboard, 7Gypsies 97% Complete Quotes stickers & rub-on, American Crafts Thickers felt letter and rub-ons, polka dot ribbons and Heidi Swapp journaling spots.

The journaling on the tag behind the picture reads:
My mum has got this picture on her dressing table in her bedroom. Obviously I don't recall this, but the reason I love it so much is that it shows that the best toy in the world, is no toy at all. All you need at the end of a hot Summer's day is a bucket of water, a sponge and some Ajax. The other reason why I love this picture, is that it shows that my brother and I always had a very close bond. I love you Eric. xox

Hubby Birthday!

Today my DH is celebrating his birthday today. Birthday wishes from me to you with all my love. Through work David had received tickets for the Australian Open, but unfortunately it rained nearly all day, which meant no outdoor play. And since we only had ground passes, we couldn't get into the arenas, so we ended up going into the city and watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. This is the card I made for him:

Products: Kraft Bazzill Cardstock, PPs Scenic Route, AC Ribbon, white foam, Sizzix Rat-a-Tat alphabet, Stampin'Up 'birthday' stamp, Staz'On Black ink, Versacolor Pinecone ink, Foof-a-la Buttons, Zig marker, Sizzix Stars.

Meeting Nancy and Mandy

We've only got 5 days left of our European trip. England was very busy with visiting family and friends, but we've done most of the things we had planned to do. We even got the Wii bug while we were there and purchased one ourselves. On New Year's Day we flew to Holland. We've already visited my brother and Ingrid, but have yet to take some pictures of the children together. We're planning to do that Wednesday afternoon. Last night Ingrid, Mandy and I went for a little crop round Nancy's house. It was lovely to meet them both in real life. I did make a card, but none of us were overly creative, but nonetheless we had a great time. Nancy, thank you for letting me use your products. Of course we had to take a picture of the event:

And here's a picture of my card:
