Last Monday sketch 7 at Club Got Sketch was revealed. It was another two pager. I don't think it's ever taking me as long as this one to decide what pictures to use. But after several hours contemplating I had to make a decision as I needed to have it done last Friday.
And because the Royal Wedding was on that evening, I went for a royal layout. Our visit to the Tower of London.
After printing the pictures, my first layout was to find suitable patterned paper and also two sheets of one pattern to use as a background. Because I couldn't find anything that wouldn't make it too busy I opted for white cardstock instead. The middle horizontal strip ended up being slightly too wide, but I was okay with that. I finally used my Silhouette machine again to cut the crowns. I intentionally chose a classic font for my journaling, to compliment the pictures. The title however had to be what was available from my supplies, but it fitted really well.
Supplies: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper | Patterned Paper: Scenic Route (Ashville collection) | Alphabet stickers: American Crafts + Echo Park | Punch: Martha Stewart | Crown: Silhouette | Rhinestones: KaiserCraft + Heidi Swapp | Corner Rounder: Zutter
Journaling: It is always a lot of fun when Opa comes and visits. Firstly we make sure that his visit falls during one of the school holidays. This gives us the opportunity to plan days out. On his last visit to us in England, we planned to go to the Tower of London to see the Crown Jewels. There was also a display of King Henry the 8th's armour which he had worn throughout his years, which was very interesting to say the least. With London traffic too busy to drive, we took the train and underground to our destination. - May 26th, 2009
There's only one more layout left for Club Got Sketch. I created the layout for sketch 8 today, which will be revealed on Monday.
Have a great weekend everyone.
