And now... the Give Away

I just realised I put Give Away in the title of my previous post, but did not mention it. As we are celebrating today, I would like to give away a digital brush set by Ali Edwards that I accidentally purchased twice on Designer Digitals. Here's a preview of the brush set.

Leave a comment on this blog post and I will randomly pick a lucky winner next on Friday. Good luck!

Want to be my Lab Partner? + a TOOT!

I know the title suggest otherwise, but I'll start with the TOOT! (It just sounded better the other way round). I was chosen as card of the week over at Card Patterns yesterday for sketch #7. I'll be guest designer for sketch #9. I received the sketch yesterday, and I can tell you it's different. The new sketch will go live on Saturday, so stay tuned.

Hybrid scrapbooking. Ever considered to use your computer to make a layout, and still use your traditional scrapbooking supplies as well? Is not knowing 'how to' one of the reason you haven't gone down this path, or you just wish you knew a little more about it. Well now's your chance.

Yesterday Jessica Sprague opened her new self-paced classes called Scrapbook Alchemy. This class combines digital techniques with traditional scrapbooking. I signed up for the first episode yesterday, and have almost finished my layout. As part of purchasing Episode 1 of Scrapbook Alchemy you get a free gift code to share with a someone else, a lab partner.

I've decided to give my free gift code away to one of my blog readers. Just leave a comment on this blog post by Sunday, and I'll pick a winner on Monday. No need to have any digital experience, but you do need to have either Photoshop Elements or Photoshop CS.

I've still got to add my last embellishment on my LO, which is drying as I type this, but I'll leave you with a sneak. I'll post the whole LO when it's finished.

Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your comments. I'm seeing quite a few new names popping up in there. It's good to be able to put some faces to my blog readers and to return the favour and visit your blogs in return.

edited: If you really would like to try this class and you haven't got Photoshop, you could always download a free 30 day trial from Adobe's website here to see if it's something for you.

Stampin'Up Party and RAK

This afternoon I had my Stampin'Up party. It was really fun, we did two projects. The first one was with stamps, crayons and coloured inks. Not something I have done before and probably not something I would do in the future, but kids would really love this. In fact Rebecca already used it on her Father's Day project this evening.

The next project was a card with a folder. These stamps I really loved, and I ended up ordering this stamp set as well. The other thing I was really impressed with was the quality and brightness of the inks. I've ordered a couple of those too, one of them is real red, which I used on the second project.

All supplies are from Stampin'Up.

With the size of my order (uhum), I received a free catalogue , but I've already got one. So, I've decided to give mine away. Even if you cannot get any of the Stampin'Up products in your country it's a great inspiration, as there are many samples in there. Leave a comment before Friday (June 20th) afternoon and I will draw a winner on Saturday morning.

It will be Father's Day tomorrow and I've sent off my dad's card and gift album earlier this week. I'm hoping he will have received it in time, otherwise he'll get a virtual look at it first, as I will reveal it tomorrow. However, it's not Father's Day in Australia tomorrow, that won't be until the first Sunday in September. And as we'll be leaving Australia in two weeks, this would mean David wouldn't have a Father's Day this year. Tough! Well, actually we decided to celebrate it tomorrow as well. It wasn't until today that I started on my project (whatever that was going to be, as I hadn't decided yet), mainly because there was a chance David would have to fly to England this evening, as he was waitlisted on the Sunday afternoon flight. Luckily he managed to get on the Sunday flight, so we've got him home at least in the morning. I finished my project and the good thing is, you'll only have to wait until tomorrow to see it.

So, I'll see you tomorrow?

RAK Winner

Thank you Hanneke, Joke and Marsha for playing along with Make a Card. Swimming has been finished for quite a while, but Renee's just picked a winner.... And the winner is Hanneke. Hanneke email me your address please, and I will send the 7Gypsies Interchangeable stamps your way.

I'm starting to think we have a new photographer in the family. When we went out to run some errands, Renee had to take her bag and camera and again when we went to pick-up Ruben and Rebecca from school the bag and camera could not be left behind. When we were standing in the school's playground Renee said she wanted to take a picture. While she took a picture of me, I took a picture of her. Like mother, like daughter!

May 29th - Like Mother, Like Daughter:

Lastly, it's Mia's 6th birthday today. Happy birthday, girl! Here's the card I made for her:

Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, Crate Paper Sweet Brance Collection kit, Autumn Leaves clear stamps, VersaColor ink, Vandoros ribbon, Prima flower, KaiserCraft bling, fiskar edge scissors.

I promise you this wasn't rigged... I put all the comments in Renee's hat and she picked one winner. And it was...

Your Valentine is a lucky man, but I know for sure that he knows that already. :-)) I love this sneak peek. Great color combo. Can't wait till tomorrow.
