Today my mother-in-law is celebrating her 70th birthday party. Last Saturday she had a party to celebrate this milestone. We've been anticipating this event for several months, as David attended the party as a surprise. Quite a few people knew he was coming, but we managed to keep in under wraps. Barbara was genuinely surprised.
Because we couldn't all be there, we'd made a little video in which we congratulate her from the other side of the world. The children put together a news bulletin, where they report about the big event. Right at the end Renee announces that the man on the ground (David) can report live from the event. Apparently there wasn't a dry eye in the room as the surprise was unfolding.
Here's the card I made for her.
Supplies: Cardstock: Papertrey Ink | Clear Stamps: Papertrey Ink (Year of Flowers: Sweet Peas, Background Basics: Tin Types, Big Birthday Wishes) | Ink: Stampin'Up (Melon Mambo + Soft Suede) | Pearls: KaiserCraft | Ribbon: Memrie Mare at Etsy | Dies: Papertrey Ink (By the Numbers | Mat Stack 4 | Large Scalloped Border) | Glitter: Stampin'Up | Vellum
Barbara, I wish you an incredible 70th birthday. Enjoy your day! x
