Happy Mother's Day

Today our Mother's Day started with warm cheese croissants, OJ and tea. Always nice, but of course only for special occassion. After we got dressed we did several attempts to take some nice pictures of my mum and the children, but it's not easy to tame them all at the same time. My mum also wanted a picture of my and her, so Rebecca did the honours. Not completely sharp, but well done.

Ever wondered whom I look like?

Here's my favourite of my mum and the kids.

Of course I also made her a card. Secretly wishing for sunnier weather I chose bright colours:

Supplies: Bazzill Basics Cardstock | Heather Bailey patterned paper + chipboard | Prima Marketing flower | Kaisercraft rhinestones | Martha Stewart border punch | ribbon.

Last week I also made her another little keepsake. I asked the children to write what present they gave her, that way she can still remember years from now. On another page they made a drawing. Ready for lots of pictures?

Supplies: Bella Chipboard Bookz | Basic Grey patterned paper + rub-ons + die-cut stickers + chipboard letters Porcelain | American Crafts puffy Thicker accents + foam Thickers| Making Memories Classically Defined Love stickers | circle punch | ribbon | Fiskars border punches | Catslife Press rubber stamp | button.

This afternoon we went to Polka Pots, where we spent a couple of hours painting pottery. Rebecca painted a piggy bank, Renee did a bunny rabbit, Ruben painted a badger and a koala, my mum painted a little treasure box and I did a cake stand. Hopefully we'll be able to pick them up by the end of the week as they still need to be burnt in the kiln.

The weather turned out to be sunny. I wish everyone a fantastic Mother's Day.

Wow....I {heart} that mini album that you made your mum. You always come up with such creative ideas and keepsakes. I am sure your mum loves the mini album. Oh, and I love the pics of Rebecca, Ruben and Renee in the album. Your card is gorgeous too. The pics you and Rebecca took today are beautiful.
