Last week I was browsing on MarthaStewart.com and I was inspired by this. Ruben has a classmate's birthday party tomorrow, and since he's turning 9, I can see you're starting to run out of ideas of presents to buy. Plus he might want bigger things and I feel giving money instead is a better alternative. So, instead of making a card, I made a little money book. I asked Ruben to write a message on the inside for his friend.
Supplies: PPs - Scenic Route, KI Memories, clear stamps - Autumn Leaves, button - Basic Grey, ribbon - ?, baker's twine - local supermarket, tag - local newsagent, rubber stamps - Stampin' Up, Staz' On ink black and white, VersaColor ink (pinecone).
This morning when Renee and I were walking to Kinder together, she told me she wanted to make a pussycat like Rebecca's which is on the shower. Initially I didn't know what she meant, but then it clicked. She wanted to make a window decal. Without prompting her this afternoon she asked me for it again. So, while she was busy making decals, I snapped a picture:

Love that little money book!! Such a great idea..and such a special way to give money for a birthday!! And that picture of Renee creating is awesome too.. she's as creative as her mommy!! XOXO
good idea, we seem to be giving kids money rather that gifts lately. I guess they are at that age they want to save for bigger things.
And looks like renee is creating a masterpiece :D
